Grannies, Inc., a new beanie company, is launching the UK’s first brand knitted entirely by Grandmas.
The company invites customers to create their own unique beanie designs and have them hand knitted on request by an eagerly awaiting granny.
Using an online beanie designer, customers can create an exclusive beanie in a matter of minutes – you can select a style, colours, added features. This is then turned into a one-of-a-kind pattern and sent to a granny to hand knit.
According to Katie Mowat, founder and managing director of Grannies, Inc.: “Grannies are a hugely undervalued resource of bespoke fashion and we intend to change this.”
Too right – I’ve been saying that for years!
